Love

Human's love can be very long lasting, but can be very fragile too. What is the reason of two person be together and become couple?

Very funny, before I started my relationship with Mic, I already become the advisor of many people regarding their love problems. I always tell them that I read many love stories that's why I know how to solve love problems. In fact, I don't really know about love, till I met Him and him.

In Hebrew, sacrificial kind of love is called "Agape". It is the kind of love that God shows to human. Only until I started my own story, I know about what is love, and I also know that it is very hard to love.

What is love? According to bible 1st Corinthians Chapter 13:4-8 ~ 13:4
Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud,
13:5 doesn't behave itself inappropriately, doesn't seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil;
13:6 doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;
13:7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
13:8 Love never fails.

It is indeed very hard to love. For the 1st 3 years of my relationship with Mic, I wrongly understand about love. I enjoy to be loved by Mic in the way I want. It is conditioned love. Our merciful Father in heaven pointed out my wrongs, and He wanted me to learn to love using His way, and not my way.

From there onwards, I suddenly realized how I should love. I learn to respect Mic, I learn to sacrifice for him, I learn to think for him. All of these can be concluded as: not to be selfish!

Sometimes it is hard to be selfless (opposite of selfish). But it is a very important element within couple. Normally, when a couple quarrels, normally is because one party acted selfishly. Believe me or not, if both parties always think for each other, always acted for the benefit of each other, love will grows among them.

I am still learning to love. Mic always encourages me using 1 verse:
Anyone who says "I love God", but hates his brother, is a liar. For whoever who does not love the brother whom he can see, can not love God whom he has not seen" (1John 4:20).
