A letter of appreciation

Before I know you, I have been waiting and longing for love. Since I know about boy girl relationship, I have been waiting for my own story to begin. At that time, the door of my heart was opening. However, I feel like no one has the courage; or I could say I was not able to make anyone to have the courage to step inside. There are times that I thought someone could be the one that will enter my heart, but the outcome was always disappointing.

Finally, God picked up my heart that was thrown and stepped. He carefully heals my wounded heart and stays inside. From there onwards, I was brought back to life. God teaches me to love myself, teaches me to love those around me and also teaches me to appreciate those who love me. I suddenly understand the reason why God says that He is the source of love. Indeed, His love is shown through our Lord Jesus Christ.

And God brought you into my life. Since our relationship started, I taste of the sweetness of love. You care for me, adore me, love me. It really seems a dream for me. I never think that I could also have someone holding my hands, or have someone sets his eyes on me always.

Till today, we have been together for 3 years, 5 months and 2 days. I always remind myself not to take for granted for everything you had done for me. And I know that there are many areas that I need to improve on so that I will not make you angry or sad that often.

For future, I cannot see that far. But just as what we always trust in, our Heavenly Father, He will definitely guide us. God is teaching me to trust in Him and not to worry for tomorrow. Indeed, the Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1-2)
