In this passage, the main character is Miss Theresa. She is my Senior Manager. I did not work under her for the 1st 2 years in Ernst & Young. But starting end of 2005, I started to work under her supervision very often.
Before I have the chance to work with her, I heard a lot about her. This is because, 1 of my colleague always assigned to work under her portfolio. From my colleague, I knew that Miss Theresa is someone whom are very very very serious in her work. Her commitment to work is 100%. Her loyalty to the company is also 100%. I also heard of her strict attitude and demanding characteristic. That's the reason why whenever my colleague working under her, she will look stress and busy.
Finally, I had the chance to work under Miss Theresa. And I started to experiencing the stress. I was trained to recognised her foot step. Whenever she stepped out of her room, I will immediately be aware of it. I am requested by her to be serious about my work and strive my best to meet all the datelines.
After I get to know more about her, I realised of some other thing, especially during this period after I tender my resignation letter. She actually spent time to talk to me and hope can convince me to stay. Frankly speaking, I am really touched of her effort put. I started to see her gentleness. And even though I rejected to continue on serving in this company, she did not treat me bad. She still put effort in teaching me, taking the initiative to explain to me about things that I did not know, of course regarding auditing.
Even though our relationship as mentor and mentee will end at the end of this month, but she is someone whom will stays in my memory and heart.
Thank you, Miss Theresa. I love you and respect you. May the Lord bless you abundantly.
